This thrilling safari takes in Kenya's most evocative parks where you marvel at the immense wildlife in Amboseli with majestic Mt. Day 1: Arrival into Nairobi, Kenya's safari hub and the capital city

On arrival in Kenya at Nairobi airport, you will be met and assisted. You will get transferred to Eka Hotel, within a 10-minute drive from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.. The rest of the day on leisure and relaxation. Spend the night on bed and breakfast plan.

Day 2: Amboseli National Park, foot of Mount Kilimanjaro

Pick up from your hotel at 8am and driven to Amboseli National Park arriving in good time for lunch. Amboseli National Park provides the classic Hollywood image of Africa. Set in rolling savannah scenery it is dwarfed by the presence of the pink-tinged, snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro at 5896 meters, is the highest free-standing mountain in the world. Against this magnificent backdrop roam vast herds of elephant accompanied by lion, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, baboon, gazelle hippo and wildebeest. There are also over 400 species of birds, all manner of reptilian, flora and fauna and some of the most soul-searing views in Africa. Enjoy great game viewing and the best views of Mt Kilimanjaro on an Amboseli safari. Afternoon game viewing. Amboseli Sopa Lodge is on the edge of Amboseli National Park within 200 acres of private land. The rustic charm of the lodge is the great views of the snow capped peaks of Kilimanjaro. Day 3: Amboseli National Park to see largest herds of Elephants in Kenya and greatest views of Kilimanjaro

Full day in Amboseli with game drives in the morning and afternoon to explore the park and have magnificent views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. View large herds of elephants, renowned to be residents of this park. Amboseli is popular with breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro and reliably good elephant viewing. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands. You can also visit the local Maasai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture. Animals to be found here include the leopard, cheetah, wild dogs, buffalo, elephant, giraffe, zebra, lion, crocodile, mongoose, hyrax, dik- dik, lesser Kudu, and nocturnal porcupine. There is also a prolific birdlife featuring 600 species. All meals and overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge, B, L, D.

Day 4: Aberdares National Park, Overnight floodlit game viewing

After an early you now drive to the Aberdare Country Club for lunch. Afternoon transfer into Aberdare National Park to The Ark Lodge for bird watching and overnight floodlit game viewing from the lodge viewing decks. Ark Lodge is a unique tree lodge with a veranda that overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick allowing undisturbed views of wildlife visiting the waterhole. Elephant, rhino, leopard, bushbuck and occasionally an elusive bongo and giant forest hog have been sighted. All cabins have private bathrooms with shower, comfortably furnished with bedside lamps and carpeted floors to ward off the evening and morning chill. Resembling and named after Noah's Ark, The Ark Tree Lodge is designed with 'decks' from which numerous balconies and lounges provide superb vantage points for game viewing. A ground level bunker provides excellent photographic opportunities and takes you closer than you would believe possible to the wildlife. Dinner and overnight at The Ark Lodge, B, L, D.

Day 5: Samburu Game Reserve, unique for endemic wildlife, Grevy's Zebra

Drive north across the equator to the Samburu National Reserves (190 km - approximately 4 hours). Samburu eco-system is a secluded and arid landscape dotted with lush springs and rocky river gorges. A few of the highlights of this area are the Gerenuk 'giraffe necked' antelope, the Reticulated giraffe, the Grevy's zebra, leopards in daylight and the Samburu culture. Samburu has a healthy population of lion, leopard, and cheetah. It is also a birdwatchers paradise with hundreds of species. The Ewaso Nyiro river, lifeline of the area, runs along the southern boundary dividing Samburu Game Reserve from Buffalo Springs Reserve. Crocodiles and hippos share the river with the many small herds of elephant which bathe and frolic in the muddy brown waters during the heat of the day before returning later to browse on the lush vegetation of the riverine forest. Lunch before a late afternoon game drive. Dinner and night at Samburu Sopa Lodge, B, L, D.

Day 6: Samburu and Shaba National Reserves

Morning and afternoon game drives. Samburu Game Reserve is situated in the hot and arid fringes of Kenya's vast Northern Frontier District. Explore this open savannah including Shaba National Reserve which is traversed by the Ewaso Nyiro River. The river is populated by hippos and crocodiles, whilst the park is home to a host of animals including several species which are rarely seen in numbers elsewhere, including Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffes and long-necked gerenuks. The Ewaso Nyiro river, lifeline of the area, runs along the southern boundary dividing Samburu Game Reserve from Buffalo Springs Reserve. Crocodiles and hippos share the river with the many small herds of elephant which bathe and frolic in the muddy brown waters during the heat of the day before returning later to browse on the lush vegetation of the riverine forest. Day 7: Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary

After breakfast, on route game viewing as you proceed to the Equator in the Laikipia Plateau and Mt. Kenya region arriving for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive at this private game ranch. Ol Pejeta Conservancy is the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya of these widely abused chimpanzees with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible. The site is also a dedicated black rhino breeding area. Sweetwaters is located in typical savannah grasslands with ‘Whistling Thorn’ and other acacia trees, overlooking a floodlit waterhole and salt-lick. It offers finest tented accommodation, personalised service, and abundant game viewing opportunities. All tents are en-suite; some on ground level and some erected on raised wooden platforms. All tents are covered with thatch, keeping them cool even during the hottest day. Each spacious tent has a verandah and en-suite bathroom. Day 8: Travel from Ol Pejeta to Lake Nakuru to see flamingos and rhinoceros, driving via Nyahururu Falls

Drive to Lake Nakuru (180 km - 3 hours). Enjoy game drives in Lake Nakuru National Park and lunch at your superb tented camp. It is a shallow alkaline lake where visitors can enjoy the wide ecological diversity with varied habitats that range from Lake Nakuru itself to the surrounding escarpment and picturesque ridges. Game drive is the main activity at Lake Nakuru. Foragers, grazers, hunters and scavengers all play their roles in the natural existence of Lake Nakuru. The park also has over 450 birds species including the flamingos. Lake Nakuru National Park is ideal for bird watching, hiking, picnic and game drives. The lake is famed as one of the world's greatest ornithological spectacles. Lake Nakuru National Park is also home to zebras, gazelles, Rothschild giraffe, impala, black and white rhino sanctuary and other large mammals. After lunch, enjoy siesta and then continue with an afternoon game drives. You now return for dinner and overnight stay at Flamingo Hill Camp, B, L, D.

Day 9: Drive to Lake Naivasha, a shallow alkaline lake for a sunset boat ride and walk on Crescent Island

An early morning game drive and then breakfast. Enjoy game drive as you make a short journey to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake located on the Great Rift Valley. It is located north west of Nairobi with Naivasha Town on its north. You will arrive in good time for lunch and siesta. You will then enjoy a scenic sunset boat cruise to see the hippos and walk on Crescent Island among wildlife - no cats. The waters of the lake draw a great range of game to these shores. Giraffes wander among the acacia, buffalo wallow in the swamps and colobus monkeys call from the treetops while the lake’s large hippo population sleep the day out in the shallows. Set in one hundred and fifty acres of grassland studded with Acacia bushes and trees, the Sopa resort is home to resident giraffe, waterbuck and both Vervet and Colobus monkeys. It is also a night stop for the hippos when they leave the lake every night to come and trim the grass on the expansive lawns. Night at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort, B, L, D.

Day 10: Today drive to the famed Masai Mara, the immense wildlife haven where pride of lions wander freely

After breakfast, drive through the Great Rift Valley escarpment to the magnificent Masai Mara (270 km - approximately 5~6 hours). You will have lunch and siesta. Take an afternoon game drive. Masai Mara National Reserve is a pristine wilderness of haunting beauty, it promises its visitors a profusion of wildlife, prolific bird life and the unprecedented opportunity of catching up with all the members of the 'Big Five' in one morning. The 1,800 sq kilometers of this veteran reserve offers the classic mix of African imagery; miles of lion-gold grasslands, shoals of lilac-misted hills, a meandering river, acres of thorn-bush and mile upon mile of undulating wilderness. Game viewing in the Masai Mara is excellent all year around thanks to the diverse population of resident game, including the Big 5 – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino – plus other species like zebra, giraffe, hyena, eland and gazelle. Return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge, B, L, D.

Day 11: Masai Mara, Immense wildlife concentrations including the big five

Enjoy an early morning game drive with further opportunities to see the superb wildlife, followed by breakfast at the lodge, or take an early morning balloon ride over the Mara followed by a 'bubbly' bush breakfast (optional extra). A second game drive will take place in the late afternoon. Masai Mara National Reserve offers one of the best opportunities to see cheetah and lions in Africa. A visit to this reserve in July will allow you the best chance to witness and watch firsthand as thousands of wildebeest migrate across the swollen crocodile infested Mara River. This is one of nature’s greatest wildlife spectacles, the wildebeest migration, reaches Masai Mara. The sheer number of wildebeests arriving in the area is staggering. The migration is a dramatic mass movement of almost two million wildebeests, zebras and gazelles in a seasonal annual cycle driven by rainfall. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge, B, L, D.
